There are times that I wish I knew without a doubt that I was outwardly ugly, because then I would also know that if a guy were ever to be attracted to me it would be because the part of me he likes most is who I am as a person instead of how I look on the outside.

ReplyDeleteFirst of all: nice marathon! Your performance was great, particularly if you had not done many training runs over 15 miles. Train properly and your next one will be that much better.
My take on the ugliness issue. A guy will always be attracted to you initially because you are cute either outwardly or inwardly or both. But, everyone is ugly in some way, sometime. Even you. Its the guy who sticks around and continues to love you and value you through the ugly times that proves that he loves you as a person.

ReplyDeleteYou are not ugly. I think I understand what your uncle dave was trying to say, but you are not ugly. Maybe, camo ugly, but thats the suit not the person wearing the suit. Remember, we are simultaneously saint and sinner, so in your sin you are ugly but in your being saint you are beautiful, no shame, just awesome beauty. When the right guy shows up he will honor and cherish you the way you see yourself, so if you believe you are ugly what does that mean, I don't believe you are ugly but do you and if you don't the the right guy will come at the right time, and in the right place? Right?
